Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang invites applications for an Industrial/Process/Assembly Technician in Batu Kawan & Bayan Lepas. You will support IE teams in planning layouts, line setup, and standard work to optimize production flows.

You will perform assembly and process tasks, operate tools, and help with 6S activities while contributing to continuous improvement and ergonomics. Diploma/Certificate in an engineering field and a basic understanding of manufacturing are required; familiarity

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in an Engineering Field and/or training, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with basic lean concepts and continuous improvement is an advantage.
• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and process tasks according to approved work instructions, drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot assembly tools, jigs, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Support new process introductions, line setup, process changes, and pilot runs.
• Assist in time studies, work measurement, and process validation activities.
• Support Industrial Engineers in lean initiatives, productivity improvement, and waste reduction (e.g. Kaizen, line balancing).
• Provide feedback on assembly methods and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and ergonomics.
• Assist in implementing standardized work and best practices across production lines.
• Maintain accurate records of process parameters, output, and issues encountered.
• Assist with updating work instructions, process flow documents, and visual aids.
• Support audits and compliance requirements as required.

We are seeking for Process/Assembly/Industrial/ Technician. Provide support to the IE Engineer or Senior IE Engineer in planning layout, standardization, line setup, coordination, and resource optimization. Support new line setup and 6S activities.
