Job summary

Credit Bureau Malaysia is seeking an Ice Rink Operator to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment at the ice rink in Malaysia. The role involves monitoring skater safety, managing admissions and skate rentals, and delivering excellent customer service across daily operations.

You will support rink maintenance, participate in emergency responses, and help run events and activities to ensure smooth operations. Candidates should be able to work rotating shifts in a cold setting and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Demonstrates basic customer service skills and the ability to interact politely with customers.
• Able to follow safety procedures, instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Physically fit and able to work comfortably in a cold environment for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the safety and behaviour of skaters and assists in the general maintenance of the ice rink.
• Is stationed at the skate rental counter, on the ice, and at entrance/exit points to monitor admissions into the ice rink.
• Ensures the safety and proper conduct of customers through the understanding and enforcement of ice rink policies and procedures.
• Assists in the maintenance of the ice rink, including upkeep of skates and the skate rental counter.
• Supports the Rink Supervisor in ice resurfacing and ice-building activities after operating hours.
• Responds quickly, safely, and appropriately to both medical and non-medical emergency situations.
• Provides assistance to customers who require help while on the ice.
• Contributes to achieving the company’s financial and strategic objectives.
• Ensures promotional events and functions held at the ice rink are executed smoothly.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

The Ice Rink Operator is responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well‑maintained skating environment by monitoring skater safety and conduct, managing admissions and skate rentals, providing excellent customer service, supporting ice rink maintenance and resurfacing activities, responding to emergencies, and assisting with the smooth execution of rink events and daily operations.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Prior experience in an ice rink, sports facility, or facilities maintenance environment will be an added advantage.
• Physically fit and able to work comfortably in a cold environment for extended periods.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operations.
• Able to operate machinery and equipment safely; training will be provided.
• Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and teamwork.
• Able to follow safety procedures, instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Possesses basic customer service skills and the ability to interact politely with customers.
• Able to remain calm and responsive during emergency or high‑pressure situations.
