Job summary

Raydian Cloud Sdn Bhd is seeking an AI Data Center Operator to support day-to-day physical operations of AI data center infrastructure. The role focuses on routine inspections, adherence to SOPs/MOPs/EOPs, and incident and service-request handling.

You will perform inspections of servers, storage, network gear, cabling, power, and cooling, document results, and escalate issues to the technical team while following change-management processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (preferred).
• Basic understanding of data center infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, cabling, power, cooling, and rack equipment (preferred).
• Experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure support, network operations, or hardware support (preferred).
• Able to follow detailed technical procedures and checklists.
• Able to work independently during day or night shifts.
• Good documentation, communication, and reporting skills.
• Basic understanding of ticketing systems, incident management, and change-management processes.
• Physically capable of data center activities, including equipment inspection, cabling work, and rack-level tasks.
• Attention to detail, discipline, procedural compliance, reliability, and punctuality.
• Safety awareness, clear communication, teamwork, collaboration, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled physical inspections of all assigned IT infrastructure, including AI and general-purpose servers, storage systems, network devices, security appliances, racks, cabling, power connections, and equipment indicators.
• Check equipment status, warning indicators, cabling conditions, and other visible abnormalities.
• Record inspection results accurately using the approved checklist and reporting format.
• Escalate identified abnormalities, alarms, risks, or equipment failures to the appropriate technical support team.
• Perform authorized physical change requests and corrective actions within the data center, including equipment installation and removal, rack-and-stack activities, cable installation and replacement, hardware replacement, equipment labeling, and physical troubleshooting.
• Confirm that all required approvals, procedures, and work permits are available before starting any activity.
• Handle assigned incidents, service requests, change requests, and operational tasks through the designated ticketing system.
• Provide timely updates on ticket progress, findings, actions taken, and final results.
• Prepare accurate daily shift reports, inspection reports, activity reports, and incident records.
• Maintain proper documentation of physical changes, equipment movements, corrective actions, and operational findings.

The AI Data Center Operator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day physical operations of AI data center infrastructure. The role focuses on routine equipment inspections, physical implementation activities, incident and service-request handling, and accurate operational reporting. The operator will work according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and change-management requirements to ensure that all activities are performed safely, consistently, and with minimal disruption to data center services.

Key responsibilities

Perform scheduled physical inspections of all assigned IT infrastructure, including AI and general-purpose servers, storage systems, network devices, security appliances, racks, cabling, power connections, and equipment indicators.
