Job summary

Ulu Ai Conservancy Berhad in Sarawak seeks a Conservation Assistant (Iban speaking) for a 6-month short-term contract to support local communities near Batang Ai and contribute to orangutan conservation. You will assist ground staff with community engagement, workshops, data collection, and reporting, staying in rural communities for extended periods as needed.

English proficiency, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and a passion for social impact are essential to collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field (preferred).
• English is required for NGO work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Community engagement with local Iban communities.
• Collaborate with communities to implement project activities on schedule.
• Document project activities with photos, notes, and observations.
• Prepare clear and concise reports to monitor progress toward goals.
