Job summary

Knowles Corporation in Malaysia is looking for a Tooling Engineer (Hybrid Designer and Toolmaker) with 4+ years in precision stamping or tooling. You will design, assemble, and troubleshoot tooling, maintain die sets, and work closely with engineers and toolmakers to ensure production readiness.

You will drive continuous die improvement, apply FMEA and PDCA, and support new product development while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Hybrid capability in tooling design and hands-on toolmaking.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD, die design and GD&T.
• Ability to read complex drawings and select materials.
• Experience with tolerance analysis and precision fitting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end tooling lifecycle from design to production.
• Maintain and repair die sets to tight tolerances.
• Drive continuous die improvement and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with die maintenance, product development, and vendors.
• Apply FMEA and tooling qualification procedures.
• Coach toolmakers and production staff in tooling best practices.
