Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking a Tooling Engineer in Batu Kawan, Penang to support production through tooling design, setup and optimization. You will fabricate tools, run tests, perform FAI submissions and coordinate with IPQA for qualification.

The role requires a Diploma in Tool & Die Making/Tool & Die Engineering with 5+ years in tooling, preferably in medical molding. Expect comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Diploma in Tool & Die Making/ Tool & Die Engineering.
• At least 5 years of related experience and/or trade knowledge.
• Preferably should have worked in medical molding / tooling industry.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate new metal stamping tool and Jigs & Fixture for assemblies.
• Tool testing and tuning to ensure peak performance.
• Prepare First Article Sample (FAI) submission and work with IPQA for part qualification.
• Tool repair, maintenance, modification and troubleshooting.
• Setup tools to ensure optimal performance and inspect first articles.
