Job summary

MST Facilities Sdn Bhd is seeking motivated HVAC / Mechanical Facilities Technicians to support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and inspections of HVAC and mechanical systems in a semiconductor manufacturing facility.

Based at Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, you will work with engineers and supervisors to ensure safe, reliable operation and timely completion of maintenance activities, with emphasis on safety procedures and PTW.

Qualifications

• HVAC and mechanical systems knowledge required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates may apply with technical certificates.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and carry out repair works.
• Conduct routine inspections and report equipment abnormalities.
• Assist with equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support emergency maintenance.
• Complete maintenance records, service reports, and checklists.
• Follow safety procedures, PTW, and company policies.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, customers and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient maintenance.

We are looking for motivated and hands‑on HVAC / Mechanical Facilities Technicians to support the operation and maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

Position Summary

You will be responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections of HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our customer's facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and carry out repair works.
• Conduct routine inspections and report equipment abnormalities.
• Assist with equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support emergency maintenance when required.
• Complete maintenance records, service reports, and checklists.
• Follow safety procedures, Permit-to-Work (PTW), and company policies.
• Work closely with Engineers, Supervisors, customers, and subcontractors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Certificate, SKM, Diploma, or equivalent in:
• Mechanical Engineering.
• HVAC / Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• Building Services.
• Facilities Maintenance.
• Electrical or related technical disciplines.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical maintenance, facilities management, or industrial maintenance.
• Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, hospital, or cleanroom environments is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates or fresh technical certificate holders are encouraged to apply.

Technical Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Able to carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Able to use common maintenance tools and equipment.
• Able to read simple technical drawings or manuals is an added advantage.
