Job summary

Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Facilities Operations & Maintenance professional to safeguard plant uptime in Kedah. You will oversee daily operations, preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant facility systems.

Key tasks include HVAC, water supply, gas systems, and building utilities; coordinating with contractors; maintaining logs; and supporting regulatory inspections. Excellent communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in facilities management or engineering related discipline.
• At least 3 years in facilities operations and maintenance.
• Proficient with HVAC, gas, and fire protection systems; strong problem solving.
• Strong communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is an advantage for client communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of facility equipment and utility systems.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain building systems including water supply, HVAC, AHU, PAHU, compressed air.
• Maintain special gas systems: bulk gas, cylinders, cabinets, pipelines, alarms, monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

Perform daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of facility equipment and utility systems to ensure smooth plant operations.

Operate, monitor, and maintain facility systems, including water supply, HVAC, AHU, PAHU, compressed air, and other building utilities.

Operate, monitor, and maintain special gas systems, including bulk gas systems, gas cylinders, gas cabinets, pipelines, alarms, and gas monitoring systems.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and utility systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.

Conduct routine inspections, leak detection, equipment checks, and basic troubleshooting to identify and rectify facility-related issues.

Assist in coordinating maintenance activities with contractors, service providers, and suppliers for repair, servicing, and equipment installation.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection checklists, equipment logs, and service reports.

Ensure all facility equipment and work activities comply with company procedures, safety regulations, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.

Support statutory inspections and audits conducted by TNB, DOSH, DOE, MBSP, IWK, BOMBA, and other regulatory authorities.

Assist in the preparation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and risk assessments related to facility operations.

Respond promptly to facility breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruption.

Support production and engineering teams by ensuring facility systems are operating efficiently and reliably.

Maintain good housekeeping within plant utility rooms, equipment areas, and maintenance workspaces.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

Degree/Diploma in Facilities Management or Electrical Engineering / Technology or Mechanical Engineering / Technology or related discipline

Minimum 3 years working experience in Facilities Operations & Maintenance or related

Proficient in operating procedures for HVAC, gas, and fire protection systems, with strong problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
