Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical HVAC/ACMV designer to support technical design, proposals, and project execution from feasibility to commissioning.

Fresh graduates are welcomed; 2–4 years in HVAC/ACMV design or M&E contracting is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel-based BQ work is expected, with knowledge of psychometrics and cooling load estimation valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 2–4 years of HVAC/ACMV design or M&E contracting experience is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Excel-based BQ/costing work.
• Understanding of psychometrics, ACH calculations, and cooling load estimation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical proposals and design basis documents for client projects.
• Perform load calculations, ACH/ventilation sizing, and equipment selection (fans, AHU, chillers, cooling towers).
• Produce AutoCAD layout drawings for ducting, piping and equipment placement.
• Coordinate with suppliers for equipment quotations and technical specifications.
• Support site supervisors during installation and commissioning.
• Prepare O&M documentation and as-built drawings.
• Assist in troubleshooting HVAC issues (humidity, temperature, pressure control).

• Experience with semiconductor/ cleanroom facility requirements is an advantage.
• Good communication skills for client-facing technical discussions.
