Job summary

Medivest Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to monitor and oversee HVAC and mechanical ventilation systems. You will assist senior staff to ensure Facility Engineering Maintenance Services align with Concession Agreements, technical requirements and KPIs.

The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC units, plus duct work installation and rapid response to service orders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field.
• Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration and heating principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee HVAC and ventilation system performance.
• Assist supervisor to ensure FEMS compliance with CA, Technical Requirements & KPIs.
• Minimize deductions, penalties and avoid breaches affecting the company.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, ventilation and chillers.
• Manage duct components and install HVAC systems.
• Respond promptly to Facility Engineering Maintenance Services (FEMS) work orders.

Responsibilities:

• To monitor and oversee system performance of Centralized Air-Conditioning and other Air-Conditioning Services and Mechanical Ventilation.
• To assist your superior in ensuring that Facility Engineering Maintenance Services (FEMS), are accoding to the Concession Agreement, Technical Requirements & Key Performance Indicators, Master Agreed Procedures, Project Operation Guidelines, Hospital Specific Implementation Plan and other statutory requirements introduced from time to time.
• To assist your superior in Minimizing Deduction/ Penalty/ Critical Events, prevent any implementation of clauses in the Concession Agreement (CA) that can cause damages or losses to the Company by the Contract Hospital.
• To monitor and oversee system performance of Centralized Air-Conditioning and other Air-Conditioning Services and Mechanical Ventilation.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and perform repair on all HVAC system, all ventilation and air conditioning units including chillers.
• Manage all metal duct components and install all HVAC system.
• Monitors and responses immediately upon any Facility Engineering Maintenance Services’ (FEMS) work orders (Mechanical work orders).

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
