Job summary

Hirehub is seeking a capable service engineer to support climate-control and HVAC solutions for data centres and industrial facilities across Southeast Asia. The role covers installation, commissioning, and maintenance of CDU, CRAC, and fan-wall systems, with emphasis on rapid issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

The candidate should hold a Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or Refrigeration & A/C, with strong hands-on skills and PLC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or Refrigeration & A/C.
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on problem solving.
• Experience with PLC-based control and logic systems preferred.
• Experience maintaining air-cooled chillers and industrial HVAC.
• Data Center Operation & Maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong project coordination and cross-functional communication.
• Minimum 2 years in refrigeration equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and service CDU, CRAC, and fan walls; participate in training.
• Lead troubleshooting during system tests and project handovers.
• Assist Project Manager with on-site progress, safety and manpower.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency troubleshooting on-site.
• Provide technical after-sales support and system optimization recommendations.
• Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Its product range includes liquid cooling systems, precision air conditioners, modular integrated cooling plants and dry coolers, with services covering system design, installation and maintenance for Southeast Asian customers.

Job Description

• Responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of CDU, CRAC, and fan wall systems. Participate in product training and related engineering training, with a focus on skill development and rapid response to customer issues.
• Participate in system testing and project delivery, taking the lead in troubleshooting to ensure smooth project handover and improved customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Project Manager in managing on-site progress, quality, safety, and manpower to ensure efficient, safe, and standards-compliant project execution.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and on-site emergency troubleshooting, and provide system optimization recommendations to ensure long-term stable system operation and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide technical after-sales support and consultation to customers.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree or above; candidates with majors in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning, or related fields are preferred.
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on, problem‑solving abilities.
• Able to troubleshoot system issues through PLC programming; understanding of logic control systems is preferred.
• Experience in maintenance and inspection of chiller systems (air‑cooled/chiller) experience in industrial HVAC system maintenance is preferred.
• Experience in Data Center Operation & Maintenance is preferred.
• Able to effectively manage project execution, planning, and timelines, with strong communication and coordination skills across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in refrigeration equipment maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.

Working Hours: Mon - Fri (8:30AM - 6:00PM)

Salary Range: Up to RM10k; open for nego higher if experienced
