Job summary

Hirehub Group in Malaysia is seeking an on-site engineer to install, commission, maintain CDU, CRAC, and fan wall systems for data centers and industrial facilities.

You will participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and project delivery, while supporting the Project Manager with on-site progress, safety, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related fields.
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on problem solving.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems is preferred.
• Experience in maintenance of industrial HVAC or data center equipment is preferred.
• Ability to manage project execution with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain CDU, CRAC, and fan wall systems.
• Support system testing and project delivery, troubleshooting for smooth handover.
• Assist Project Manager with on-site planning, safety, and progress.
• Perform preventive maintenance and on-site emergency troubleshooting.
• Provide after-sales technical support and customer consultation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of CDU, CRAC, and fan wall systems. Participate in product training and related engineering training, with a focus on skill development and rapid response to customer issues.
• Participate in system testing and project delivery, taking the lead in troubleshooting to ensure smooth project handover and improved customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Project Manager in managing on-site progress, quality, safety, and manpower to ensure efficient, safe, and standards-compliant project execution.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and on-site emergency troubleshooting, and provide system optimization recommendations to ensure long-term stable system operation and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide technical after-sales support and consultation to customers.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree or above; candidates with majors in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning, or related fields are preferred.
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on, problem-solving abilities.
• Able to troubleshoot system issues through PLC programming; understanding of logic control systems is preferred.
• Experience in maintenance and inspection of chiller systems (air-cooled/chiller) experience in industrial HVAC system maintenance is preferred.
• Experience in Data Center Operation & Maintenance is preferred.
• Able to effectively manage project execution, planning, and timelines, with strong communication and coordination skills across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in refrigeration equipment maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.

Salary Range: Up to RM10k; open for nego higher if experienced
