Job summary

IKEA Malaysia is seeking an HR professional to join our management team in Johor Bahru. You will provide HR subject matter expertise, manage HR operations, and ensure strategies are implemented effectively to fulfil the purpose of HR functions.

Your assignment covers recruitment, onboarding, off-boarding, HRIS maintenance, learning and development, reporting, employee relations, employer branding, and office administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of HR experience focusing on recruitment, training and development, and compensation and benefits.
• Strong knowledge of local labour laws and workplace regulations.
• Excellent networking and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of employer branding and ability to run social media recruitment campaigns.
• Experience in project management within a diverse work environment.
• Proactive with a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work weekends, shift hours and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment process including posting job ads, screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires with managers and organize onboarding sessions.
• Manage off-boarding and exit interviews.
• Maintain HRIS and co-worker files.
• Support Learning and Development activities and training programs.
• Prepare monthly HR reports including KPI and turnover reports.
• Support co-worker welfare, engagement and employee relations activities.
• Assist Managers with performance evaluations and development processes.
• Handle internal communication for co-workers.
• Any other assignments as required.

Be a strong contributor to the management team and co-workers, provide HR subject matter expertise, process HR operations matters and ensure that the HR strategies are put into practice in the most effective as well as efficient way in order to fulfil the purpose of HR functions.

Your assignment

• Support recruitment process including posting of job advertisement, screening resume and scheduling interviews.
• Support and coordinate on-boarding programme for new recruits with managers by preparing welcome pack and organize on-boarding sessions for new hires.
• Ensure off-boarding and exit interview process appropriately handled.
• Maintain an accurate HRIS and co-workers' P-file updates.
• Contribute actively in supporting and coordinating Learning and Development activities (Inhouse and Public Training).
• Prepare and submit HR related monthly reports (Compile Recruitment KPI and turnover report, Copier Machine Report, Sickness Hour Report).
• Support and coordinate co-worker's welfare, engagement programme, employee relation activities and meeting.
• Support Managers in managing co-worker's disciplinary matters and ensuring a healthier as well as high performing workplace.
• Improve and contribute to our employer branding by developing creative posting strategies for HR digital platforms that focuses on our culture and values.
• Point of contact for all Office Management and Administrative matters to keep office as a conducive and great place to work.
• Lead and responsible for the Learning and Development activities in the Store to develop highly performing, knowledgeable co-workers. Ensure learning records and mandatory training compliance are maintained.
• Contribute to succession planning, talent development and leadership capability building.
• Support managers in Performance Evaluation and Development processes.
• Support in handling internal communication for co-workers.
• Any other assignments as and when required from time-to-time.

Qualification

• You have at least 4 to 5 years of experience in HR function, especially recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefit.
• Well versed in all local laws governing the Human Resource and workplace.
• Good in networking and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of employer branding, creative and able to establish and manage social media and web-based recruiting campaigns in promoting the company as an employer of choice to prospective hires.
• Project management experience and high comfort level working in a diverse environment.
• Always practice can do attitude and good problem-solving skills.
