Job summary
TATSUNO ENGINEERING & SERVICE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a dedicated HSSE Assistant/Executive to join our Health, Safety & Environment team in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
You will help develop, implement and monitor health, safety and environmental policies across our oil & gas operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a strong safety culture. This full-time role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in OSH or related field, relevant certifications, and strong knowledge of Malaysian HSE
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in OSH, Environmental Science or related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent health and safety qualifications are the added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian health and safety legislation and industry standards
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify hazards and risks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with health and safety management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Valid driving licence is preferred
- Previous experience in the oil & gas sector is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing HSSE policies across office, workshop, warehouse and project sites.
- Conduct routine workplace and site inspections to identify hazards and environmental concerns.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining HSSE documentation (risk assessments, JHA/JSA/HIRADC, Method Statements, records).
- Assist in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, campaigns and safety activities.
- Monitor PPE and safety equipment requirements and ensure serviceable PPE.
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
- Support monitoring of environmental controls and waste management.
- Assist emergency preparedness activities and drills.
- Assist internal audits and support client audits.
- Maintain HSSE records and ensure documents are updated.
- Assist in legal compliance monitoring (ISO 45001 and client standards).
- Support HSSE reporting with statistics and updates for management and clients.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and external consultants.
- Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
