Job summary

SGS Malaysia is seeking a skilled Compensation & Benefits professional to lead and continually improve our compensation and benefits strategy. You will oversee annual salary reviews, bonuses, and merit processes, and conduct market benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and equity.

The role includes administering benefits programs and coordinating with benefit providers and external vendors. The job involves supporting job evaluation, salary structure reviews, and governance, as well as handling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Professional certification in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, Human Resources, or related field would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and continuous improvement of SGS Malaysia's compensation and benefits strategy.
• Manage annual salary review, bonus, incentive, and merit increase processes.
• Conduct market benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.
• Analyze compensation trends and provide recommendations to management on reward-related matters.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical insurance, wellness initiatives, leave benefits, retirement schemes, and other offerings.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, benefit providers, and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery of benefit programs.
• Support job evaluation, grading, salary structure reviews, and compensation governance activities.
• Manage and maintain work permit/PVP monitoring and records.
• Monitor permit expiry dates and initiate renewal coordination.
• Coordinate new applications and permit renewals.
• Collect and verify required employee and business documentation.
• Coordinate medical examinations and supporting documents where applicable.
• Liaise with employees, business stakeholders and external agents on permit matters.
• Track application progress and follow up on outstanding requirements.
• Support ad-hoc HR reporting and related operational activities within the assigned portfolio.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related discipline
