Job description

We're Osome - an international fintech startup making the lives of entrepreneurs easier. We help thousands of businesses kick admin, accounting and bookkeeping out of their day-to-day, so they can spend more time on what's important to them. We've developed a unique solution that combines SaaS with a human-in-the-loop approach to provide full-fledged services in real-time.

We’re experiencing rapid growth in both client base and team, which now comprises around 500 people across our offices worldwide. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for more bright minds who are excited to make a real impact by solving complex problems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and can move comfortably between analytical and creative work, using data from across the employee lifecycle to spot opportunities, then designing and delivering initiatives that strengthen engagement and improve the efficiency of our people processes.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable with change, highly adaptable, being self motivated and demonstrate a high level of maturity when handling sensitive information.

What To Expect
  • You’ll handle real client accounts, not dummy data
  • You’ll communicate with clients and internal teams regularly

If you want to build confidence, judgement, and ownership, it will be.

Responsibilities (how we will measure success)
  • Maintain our internal HRIS (HiBob) as a trusted source of people data, with strong data quality, effective workflows and high user adoption.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and ad hoc dashboards that turn people's data into clear stories, recommendations and measurable actions.
  • Improve employee engagement and retention through evidence-based projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure global People programmes, including performance, talent and reward cycles, are delivered consistently and land effectively in each market.
  • Deliver accurate, timely and compliant People Operations and payroll reporting across the employee lifecycle and relevant markets.
  • Build simpler and more scalable ways of working through process improvement, automation and the responsible use of AI.
  • Help create an inclusive employee experience in which people across locations and backgrounds feel safe, respected and supported.
What You'll Do
  • Act as the HiBob super administrator, managing employee data, permissions, workflows, templates, reporting and the rollout of new features and functionality.
  • Audit and maintain people data, resolve data-quality issues and keep key processes and documentation up to date.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, changes and exceptions with Finance, People Partners and third-party providers, and support the resolution of payroll queries.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports covering headcount, attrition, engagement, leave, performance, talent, reward and other relevant people metrics.
  • Analyse trends and risks, test assumptions and translate findings into clear narratives and practical recommendations for leaders and the People team.
  • Support the design, administration and delivery of performance, talent, compensation and engagement cycles.
  • Create and manage projects that improve employee experience, engagement and retention, including plans, milestones, communications and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with and influence People Partners and business stakeholders so that local and global initiatives are practical, aligned and implemented effectively.
  • Work with the wider team to support diversity, inclusion and employee-belonging initiatives, embedding inclusive thinking into processes, communications and the wider employee experience.
  • Explore AI, HRIS features and updates, automation and solutions that reduce manual work, improve accuracy and create capacity within the People team
Key competencies for position and level
  • Strong understanding of People Operations, payroll processes and employee-lifecycle administration.
  • Hands-on HRIS ownership, including system configuration, workflow design, reporting, permissions and data governance.
  • People analytics and data storytelling, with the ability to critique information and convert it into meaningful action.
  • Project and programme delivery, with clear planning, prioritisation, communication and follow-through.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions, markets and levels of seniority.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset, with the confidence to simplify processes and explore digital, automation and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Sound judgement, accuracy and discretion when handling sensitive people and business information.
Key behaviours we expect to see
  • Takes ownership, follows through on commitments and raises risks early.
  • Stays curious, asks thoughtful questions and constructively challenges assumptions.
  • A self-motivated self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities to improve culture, processes and ways of working.
  • Balances attention to detail with an understanding of the wider business and employee impact.
  • Acts as a genuine ally and advocate for diversity and inclusion, helping others feel safe, respected and heard.
  • Works collaboratively and communicates clearly, transparently and respectfully.
  • Is proactive, pragmatic and adaptable, moving comfortably between recurring operations and new initiatives.
  • Treats confidential information with care and demonstrates integrity in every interaction.
  • Curious about new technologies and regularly reviews existing tools and systems to identify efficiencies and improvements.
  • Comfortable experimenting with AI tools such as Claude to develop new projects and generate meaningful data insights.
  • Confident presenting ideas, insights and initiatives in global forums, including company all-hands meetings.
Who You Are
  • At least five years of experience in HR Operations, People Systems or a broad HR role with significant operational responsibility.
  • Practical experience administering an HRIS, including workflows, reporting and data maintenance; HiBob experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting payroll operations and working with Finance, local teams or third-party payroll providers.
  • Strong spreadsheet and reporting capability using Excel or Google Sheets; experience with business-intelligence tools is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse people data, identify patterns and present clear recommendations and actions.
  • Experience delivering cross-functional People projects or programmes from planning through to implementation.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across multiple locations, markets or time zones, ideally in a distributed or fast-growing organisation.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences.
  • Comfort using or exploring AI, automation and no-code tools to improve team effectiveness.

You’ll leave this role better than you started. That’s the goal.

  • Multi-cultural environment to enhance your global perspective.
  • Learning opportunities and mentorship from peers and leaders.
  • An agile working model focused on goals and performance.
  • Remote working arrangement.
  • USD 92 health allowance monthly.
  • Company-provided laptop.
