Lam Equity Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a motivated HR intern to support the Employee Lifecycle, documentation, handbook review and process improvements within our HR team. You will gain hands-on exposure to onboarding, offboarding, recruitment support and staff engagement while handling confidential information with integrity.
This role offers a monthly allowance of RM 800–1,000 for 4–6 months, with hybrid work and free parking.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Employee Lifecycle & HR Data Management
Assist in maintaining and updating employee lifecycle records from onboarding to offboarding.
Assist in organising and maintaining employee master data and HR records, excluding salary-related information.
Review employee records to ensure information and documentation are complete and up to date.
Assist in tracking employee movements and key HR milestones, including onboarding, probation, confirmation, leave and resignation.
Assist in improving the organisation and maintenance of HR data and trackers.
Prepare basic HR reports and summaries based on available employee data.
2. HR Documentation & Administration
Assist in preparing, organising and maintaining HR documents, forms, letters and records.
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding documentation.
Assist in maintaining proper filing of employee records and HR documents.
Support the HR team with day-to-day HR administrative tasks.
Assist in preparing HR-related announcements, memos and internal communications when required.
3. Employee Handbook Review & Improvement
Assist the HR team in reviewing the existing Employee Handbook.
Identify areas where policies, procedures or guidelines may require clarification or improvement.
Review existing HR practices and documentation against the Employee Handbook.
Assist in drafting and updating relevant sections of the Employee Handbook based on HR and management's direction.
Organise feedback and proposed improvements for HR's review.
4. HR Guidelines & Process Improvement
Assist in preparing and developing internal HR guidelines for employees and managers.
Assist in documenting HR processes and procedures in a clear and organised manner.
Support the HR team in reviewing existing HR processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Assist in preparing simple HR process flows, checklists and reference materials.
Ensure HR guidelines and documents are properly organised and maintained.
5. Recruitment Support
Assist the HR team with recruitment activities when required.
Assist in posting job vacancies on relevant recruitment platforms.
Assist in screening resumes and maintaining candidate records.
Coordinate interview arrangements and candidate follow-ups.
Update recruitment trackers and recruitment-related documentation.
6. Employee Engagement & General HR Support
Assist in organising employee engagement activities, company events and celebrations.
Provide support for HR activities and initiatives.
Assist with other HR-related administrative and ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the HR team.
Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration / related field.
Able to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information.
Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
Familiarity with office management procedures is preferred.
Responsible, positive attitude, and eager to gain hands-on experience in HR.
Efficient and structured with attention to detail.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and accept guidance.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google office suite, especially Excel and Sheets.
Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective communication and teamwork when needed.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
