Job summary

Element Solutions Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to deliver end-to-end HR operations for Malaysia and support regional HR initiatives across Southeast Asia.

You will partner with managers and employees to ensure smooth HR processes, compliance with local employment laws, and a positive employee experience. The role covers recruitment coordination, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits, record-keeping in SuccessFactors, and support of performance management and salary reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of HR generalist experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on payroll administration experience.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements.
• Experience using HRIS such as SAP SuccessFactors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Prepare employment-related documents (contracts, promotions, salary adjustments, transfers).

Who are we looking for?

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, Southeast Asia, this role is primarily responsible for delivering end-to-end HR operations for Malaysia while supporting selected regional HR activities across Southeast Asia. The incumbent will partner with managers and employees to ensure smooth execution of HR processes, compliance with local employment legislation, and a positive employee experience. Approximately 70–80% of the role will focus on supporting Malaysia operations, with the remaining 20–30% supporting regional HR initiatives and projects across Southeast Asia.

What will you be doing?

• Provide end-to-end HR operational support for Malaysia
• Manage the employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee movements, transfers and offboarding
• Prepare employment-related documents, including employment contracts, confirmation, promotion, salary adjustment, transfer and separation letters
• Support monthly payroll by ensuring timely and accurate submission of payroll inputs and validating payroll reports
• Administer employee benefits, insurance, medical claims and statutory requirements
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely updates in SuccessFactors
• Support probation, performance management and annual salary review processes
• Handle employee enquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
• Coordinate training programmes, employee engagement activities and learning initiatives
• Administer work permits, employment passes and immigration matters where applicable

Who are You?

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of HR generalist experience in a multinational manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience in payroll administration and employee lifecycle management
• Sound knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements
• Experience using HRIS such as SAP SuccessFactors
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
