Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 3–5 years in talent acquisition, recruitment, or training in a corporate setting.
• Knowledge of recruitment best practices and Malaysia employment law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with HR management systems and LMS.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Experience creating engaging training content, both virtual and in-person.
• Preferred: competency-based hiring and succession planning knowledge.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Executive (Talent and Learning) to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Penang on a full-time basis. This is a strategic human resources position that plays a crucial role in shaping our talent acquisition, development, and learning initiatives. You will be instrumental in building and nurturing our workforce whilst implementing comprehensive learning and development programmes that align with our business objectives. This role bridges the gap between our operational teams and our talent management strategy, ensuring we attract, retain, and develop high-performing individuals who drive organisational success.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and managing talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions across the organisation
• Developing and delivering comprehensive training and development programmes tailored to enhance employee skills and competencies
• Conducting training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning requirements across departments
• Managing the recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees
• Creating and maintaining learning management systems and training documentation
• Coordinating induction programmes to ensure effective integration of new team members into the company culture
• Collaborating with departmental heads to understand talent requirements and career development opportunities
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of learning initiatives through feedback and performance metrics
• Supporting the development of competency frameworks and career progression pathways
• Maintaining recruitment records and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or training and development within a corporate environment
• Proven expertise in identifying training needs and designing effective learning programmes
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment legislation in Malaysia
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all organisational levels
• Proficiency in HR management systems and learning management platforms
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess programme effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations
• Experience in creating and delivering engaging training content, both virtual and in-person
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with HR trends and best practices
• Preferred: Knowledge of competency-based hiring and succession planning practices
