Job summary

VHR Consultancy in Malaysia seeks an experienced HR Manager to build HR foundations, establish scalable policies, and implement end-to-end HR systems in engineering/manufacturing environments.

You will lead policy development, manage HR compliance (Malaysian Employment Act, IR), handle talent development initiatives, and oversee recruitment, payroll support, onboarding, and performance reviews, aligning HR strategy with business growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in HRM or Business Admin with relevant degree.
• 5+ years in HR generalist/managerial roles.
• Experience in HR setup, system implementation, and policy writing.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, IR, and HRDC claim processes.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• HR Infrastructure Setup: Establish, digitize, and rollout end-to-end HR systems, processes, and leave management tools.
• Policy & Handbook Development: Draft, update, and implement the company handbook, SOPs, and employee guidelines in compliance with Malaysian Labor Law.
• HRDC & Talent Development: Plan the annual training budget, manage the HRDC (HRD Corp) claim and grant application processes, and oversee employee skill development.
• Full-Spectrum HR Operations: Manage recruitment, employee relations, payroll support/supervision, onboarding, performance reviews, and retention strategies.
• Strategic Advisory: Partner with senior management to align HR strategies with business growth goals.
