Job summary

Sam Hwa Steel Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor seeks an HR & Admin Clerk for a part-time/6-month contract to maintain employee records and update HR databases. You will assist payroll processing and prepare vouchers for bills and invoices for both the company and its accommodations.

The ideal candidate has a diploma/degree in HRM/BA or related field, and proficient English and Malay, with at least 1 year in HR/Admin and strong Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management/Business Administration or related field
• Required language(s): English and Malay
• Applicant must be willing to work in Pasir Gudang, Johor
• Good computer skills i.e. Microsoft Excel and Words
• Good interpersonal skills and meticulous
• Able to meet deadlines with the right sense of urgency
• At least one (1) year working experience in HR and Admin Department

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records (soft and hard copies)
• Update HR databases (new hires, attendance, annual leaves, sick leaves and others)
• Monthly payroll preparation for operator and contract worker
• Prepare summaries and account vouchers for bills and invoices for the company and accommodation
• Assist to organise HR and Admin outdoor activities (sport day, annual dinner, training)
• Assist in handling Foreign Worker matters (e.g., Fomema, bank opening accounts)
• Check stock for uniforms and toiletries and prepare stock inventory reports
• Assist in Safety and ISO documentation (ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015)
• Any other ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested by superior
