PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur invites an Executive Housekeeper to join our management team in a full-time capacity. Based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, the role leads all housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest satisfaction across the luxury property.

You will mentor and develop a large housekeeping team, manage budgets, implement quality standards, and collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance to deliver seamless service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of housekeeping experience in a 4–5 star luxury hotel.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record in leading large housekeeping teams and maintaining standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all housekeeping operations including rooms, public areas and laundry.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Lead, train and motivate staff to achieve targets and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
• Manage budgets, staffing costs and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance and Management for seamless operations.
• Address guest complaints promptly and coordinate swift resolutions.
• Implement sustainability initiatives within housekeeping operations.
• Prepare and present reports on performance, occupancy and staffing.

About the role

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to join our management team in a full-time capacity. Based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, this is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations and maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest satisfaction that define our luxury hospitality offering. As Executive Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our property maintains its reputation for excellence whilst leading and developing a dedicated housekeeping team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all housekeeping department operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance and laundry services
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures and quality standards to ensure compliance with hotel and industry best practices
• Lead, train, mentor and motivate housekeeping staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance and adherence to established standards
• Manage housekeeping budgets, including staffing costs, cleaning supplies and equipment maintenance
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance issues, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure swift resolution
• Implement sustainability and environmental initiatives within housekeeping operations
• Liaise with other departments including Front Office, Maintenance and Management to ensure seamless hotel operations
• Prepare and present regular reports on departmental performance, occupancy rates and staffing metrics
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations, including food safety where applicable

What we are looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of housekeeping experience in a 4-5 star luxury hotel environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large housekeeping teams
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, equipment and chemicals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Solid understanding of budget management and cost control principles
• Proficiency in hotel management systems and computer literacy
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate, train and develop team members
• Problem-solving capability and ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
• Relevant certifications in hospitality management or housekeeping are desirable
