Job summary

Hotel Grand Central Limited is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee floor operations, ensure clean and well-maintained guest rooms and public areas, including the pool area. You will allocate daily tasks, monitor attendance, and train staff to uphold brand standards.

Responsibilities include room readiness, VIP room preparation, inventory management, and reporting. Strong leadership and guest-service focus are essential for success in a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

  • Oversee smooth operation of the assigned floor.
  • Monitor staff on duty and attendance.
  • Ensure staff grooming and fitness meet company standards.
  • Allocate rooms and supervise deep cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas including pool.
  • Supervise public area staff and monitor guest areas.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all records of dispatches and floor master keys are accurate.
  • Check rooms after cleaning and release for sale.
  • Prioritize VIP room readiness and special attention before guest arrival.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and that equipment are in good working order.
  • Submit maintenance work orders and inspect completed work.
  • Record missing items and discrepancies in rooms.
  • Organize special cleaning during low occupancy.
  • Complete occupancy and status reports at the end of shift/day.
  • Assist with inventory and train staff as needed.
  • Handle guest complaints tactfully and professionally.

Job description

Responsible for the smooth operation of the floor assigned.

Check staff schedule for staff on duty and check all attendance.

Check and ensured staff personal grooming and fitness are up to company standard.

Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members.

Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors for all of the floor including public area pool area.

To monitor public area staffs.

Ensure all recorded dispatches floor master keys to maids concerned.

Check occupied rooms occasionally and vacant room every morning. Make discrepancy Report to housekeeper on any vacant room found used.

Check all rooms that has just been cleaned by maids and released for sale.

Check by providing special attention to rooms blocked for VIPs before arrival of guests.

Ensure there are adequate supplies for the smooth running of the Department.

Check all equipments are in a good working order.

Submit maintenance work orders for those needing work done and then inspect the job done.

Record any missing items and discrepancies in rooms.

Arrange special cleaning like spring cleaning, window cleaning when occupancy is low.

Completes and dispatches the housekeeping occupancy and status report at end of the shift/day.

To organize immediately the guest needs under intimation to Executive Housekeeper.

Assist in inventory stock taking at end of every month.

Record any Lost & Found items found in rooms or public areas.

Train new staff and re-train the old one if necessary.

Assist with the duties of Chambermaids during busy period.

Check to see that Pest Control Service is carried out accordingly and appropriately.

Report to Housekeeper or Assistant Housekeeper on any irregularities observed during the course of work.

Check all assigned are at close of day making sure all equipment’s, keys and supplies are stored and locked properly.

Handles guest’s complaints tactfully.

To perform any additional duties as and when requested by the Management.
