Job summary

Kota Kinabalu Marriott Hotel is seeking a sales leader to head the property's sales department, overseeing reactive and proactive efforts, and guiding a team to hit booking goals and revenue targets.

The role focuses on implementing brand service strategies, building long-term customer relationships, and driving property campaigns to achieve objectives and ROI for ownership and Marriott International.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree plus 4 years of sales/marketing experience, or 4-year degree with 2 years experience.
• Supervisory experience and hotel industry background.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic account plan for market demand generators.
• Lead marketing communication activities with Regional Marketing Communications.
• Provide customer intelligence to adapt sales strategy to market trends.
• Review STAR reports and competitive shopping to assess market position.
• Research competitors' sales strategies to grow occupancy and RevPAR.
• Attend sales strategy meetings and contribute to weekly/overall plans.
• Suggest innovative marketing ideas and deployment strategies to grow market share.
• Support participation with Area Sales and Group Sales within the Sales Office.
• Serve as the sales contact for GM, leadership team, Group Sales and Area Sales leaders, and customers.
