Job summary

Berjaya Penang Hotel in Penang seeks a Sales Manager to develop and implement sales strategies aimed at hitting monthly and annual revenue targets across corporate, government, travel trade, MICE, and leisure segments.

You will generate new business, manage key accounts, oversee client visits and proposals, and collaborate with Events, Front Office, Reservations, F&B, and Finance to ensure seamless group and event delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage corporate accounts and partnerships.
• Ability to conduct regular account reviews and negotiate corporate rates, packages, and agreements.
• Skilled at handling client feedback, complaints, and service issues professionally.
• Maintains updated records of accounts, calls, leads, prospects, and opportunities.
• Collaborates closely with Revenue Management, Front Office, Reservations, F&B, Events, and Finance.
• Able to support and guide Sales Executives and other sales team members.
• Adheres to hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase hotel revenue.
• Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations, and site inspections.
• Promote the hotel's accommodation, meeting facilities, food & beverage outlets, and other services.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities within Penang and key markets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, government agencies, travel agencies, tour operators, and other partners.
• Generate and secure business from meetings, conferences, incentives, events, weddings, and group bookings.
• Work with Events, Banquet, Front Office, Reservations, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of group requirements.
• Maintain excellent relationships with clients and deliver high customer satisfaction.
