Job summary

Pullman Kuching is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee daily hotel operations during the assigned shift, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth inter-department coordination. You will lead Front Office activities, engage with guests including VIPs and special occasions, handle feedback and service recovery, and collaborate with Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering and Security to maintain standards.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, at least 3 years in Front Office or hotel

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Front Office or hotel operations.
• Previous experience in a Duty Manager or supervisory role preferred.
• Good knowledge of hotel operations and guest services.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and make sound decisions during the shift.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Open to Malaysian candidates only; preferably local Sarawakian.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations during the assigned shift.
• Act as management representative on duty ensuring inter-department coordination.
• Welcome and engage with guests, including VIPs and special occasions.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally.
• Monitor Front Office operations including check-in/out and requests.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Security to resolve issues.
• Ensure facilities and guest areas meet standards.
• Maintain shift handovers and prepare reports.
• Assist training and coaching of team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Rooms Division/Management.
