Job summary

Kenny Hills Bakers is seeking a professional, energetic chef to join our fast-paced restaurant team in Malaysia. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and you will learn alongside experienced kitchen staff.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, following chef instructions, and maintaining high quality and sanitation standards. A culinary school diploma is preferred and a passion to learn is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience in a professional kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to work quickly with accuracy.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices and sanitation standards.
• Culinary school diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and handle leftovers responsibly.
• Ensure food comes out with high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
