Job summary

CC Roasters in Malaysia is seeking an enthusiastic Commis to assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. You will support senior chefs to ensure dishes meet company standards for quality and hygiene.

This entry-level role requires a basic understanding of kitchen operations, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to learn. Shift-based work including weekends; training provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in preparing ingredients.
• Support basic cooking tasks under supervision of Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure food storage is properly labelled, rotated, and stored (FIFO).
• Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP or SOP).
• Support in dish plating and basic food assembly when required.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain kitchen safety practices.
• Perform any other duties assigned by senior kitchen staff.

• Ensure food storage is properly labelled, rotated, and stored (FIFO system).
