Job summary

Shaking Buns Sdn Bhd is seeking a kitchen team member in Kuala Lumpur to develop hospitality and food knowledge, and to produce quality dishes on time for guests and staff. You will support mise en place, stock maintenance, and move through shifts efficiently while maintaining cleanliness.

The role involves following recipes precisely, preparing ingredients, and assisting seniors in daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• To develop great knowledge and sense of hospitality and food knowledge and skills.
• Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff.
• Ensure that mise en place for food preparation is completed in your section.
• Ensure that all stocks are well maintained.
• Replenishes service lines as needed and restocks and prepares the workstation for the next shift.
• Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Prepare all menu items by strictly following recipes and yield guide.
• Completes assigned tasks as quickly as is safely practical
• Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.
• Would need to follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed.
• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
• Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
• Support the Demi Chef/Chef de Partie or Commis II in the daily operation and work.
