Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a hospital kitchen cook to prepare meals according to patient dietary needs and daily production lists, ensuring quality, temperature control and safe food handling.

You will assemble portions, maintain sanitation, rotate stock, assist with inventory and support catering projects. SPM or equivalent is required; additional culinary certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items ensuring quality, quantity and attractive presentation.
• Arrange food on plates and platters.
• Maintain proper food temperatures during prep and service.
• Store and rotate stock; dispose of expired items.
• Ensure kitchen sanitation and cleanliness.
• Assist with food inventory and supplies management.
• Report kitchen malfunctions to supervisor.
• Supervise in the absence of Chef/Catering Supervisor.
• Support catering projects as needed.
• Follow daily Meal Production List.
