Job summary

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent; culinary-related certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Cook Assistant or 2 years as Kitchen Helper.
• Knowledge of the food industry; hospital dietary services is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items ensuring quality, quantity, and presentation.
• Arrange food on plates and platters.
• Assemble portions based on menu and guidelines.
• Monitor temperatures during preparation and service.
• Store and rotate food according to guidelines; dispose of expired items.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Assist with inventory and supply management.
• Supervise food production in absence of senior kitchen staff.
• Assist with catering project preparation and basic bookkeeping.
• Conduct regular inspections of food items and equipment.
