Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital in Malaysia is seeking a diligent cook to schedule cooking for timely meal preparation and to check menu/production sheets to determine the type and quantities of raw materials needed. You will prepare food according to standard recipes and ensure correct portioning and presentation during meal assembly, while maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

You will also maintain temperature logs, ensure proper dating and labeling, support distribution

Qualifications

• Diploma in Culinary and above.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Schedule cooking for timely meal preparation.
• Check menu/production sheets to determine raw materials.
• Prepare food in accordance with standard recipes.
• Ensure proper portioning and presentation during meal assembly.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation and temperature logs.
• Keep kitchen area clean and neatly organized at all times.
• Support distribution of prepared foods as needed.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and keep stock levels updated.
