Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a cook/cook assistant to prepare meals for patients and staff, ensuring quality, safety and timely service. You will follow daily meal production lists, control portioning and maintain hot/cold food temperatures.

The role requires SPM or equivalent, hospital dietary experience is a plus, and strong communication and teamwork skills. You will work under supervision and assist with inventory, cleanliness and sanitation duties.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent education; culinary certificate is a plus.
• At least 2 years’ experience as cook or cook assistant.
• Familiarity with hospital dietary services is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange food according to daily meal plan.
• Ensure food temperatures meet safety guidelines during preparation and service.
• Lead kitchen prep in absence of supervisor.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen per guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages.
