Job summary

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided; no prior experience required.
• Experience in hospital dietary services is an advantage.
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items ensuring quality and quantity.
• Arrange items neatly on plates and platters.
• Assemble portions per the menu and store food properly.
• Rotate stock and dispose of expired products with proper records.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness following sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation for catering projects.
• Handle dishwashing duties and operate dishwashers.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor promptly.
• Perform light bookkeeping duties as needed.
• Other duties as instructed by the organization.
