KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a food preparation assistant to prepare, assemble, and portion meals according to daily production lists in a hospital setting. You will ensure food quality, safety, and presentation while maintaining strict sanitation standards.

The role involves assisting with inventory, controlling temperatures, and supporting kitchen operations during service and catering projects. Experience in hospital dietary services is a plus; strong teamwork and communication are

Qualifications

Education: SPM or equivalent. Additional certificate in Culinary / Chef training is an extra advantage.
Experience: 1 year as cook assistant or 2 years as kitchen helper; hospital dietary services is a plus.
Knowledge of cuisine and fundamental culinary skills; strong communication across functions.

Responsabilités

Prepare food items ensuring quality and portions according to daily production list.
Arrange food attractively on plates and platters; monitor temperatures during prep and service.
Rotate stock and dispose of expired items; maintain sanitation and cleaning guidelines.
Assist with inventory management and notify when par levels are reached.
Supervise in absence of senior cooks; perform light bookkeeping and report malfunctions.
