Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a kitchen cook to prepare, assemble, and deliver meals in accordance with patient dietary requirements.

The role involves ensuring quality, sanitation, and proper portioning while supporting catering projects as needed. Candidates should have SP M or equivalent with culinary training and at least 2 years of cook experience, ideally in hospital dietary services.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent required with additional culinary/cooking training considered an asset.
• 2 years’ experience as cook or cook assistant; familiarity with hospital dietary services is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items ensuring quality and portion control.
• Arrange and plate food neatly for trays and meals.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation for catering projects as required.
• Manage inventory and rotate stock according to par levels.
