Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Ltd. in Malaysia is seeking a High Voltage Chargeman to perform electrical switching, isolation, and testing in line with licensing and safety standards.

You will conduct campus-wide checks, lead MV generator tests, and support fault diagnosis and emergency responses across our data center campuses. The ideal candidate holds a valid B0-11kV Chargeman certificate with 3+ years of hands-on electrical experience, strong UPS/switchgear knowledge, and a solid commitment to safety,

Qualifications

• Valid B0-11kV Chargeman certificate.
• 3+ years hands-on electrical experience.
• Strong understanding of UPS, switchgear, grounding systems, generators, and other electrical infrastructure.
• Commitment to workplace safety and LOTO practices.
• Willing to work a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical switching, isolation, and testing per licensing and safety standards.
• Conduct round checks at substations campus-wide.
• Lead MV generator routine tests as per Preventive Maintenance plan.
• Support troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on electrical equipment campus-wide.
• Assist during incidents and emergency responses and support DC Ops/contractors.

Trusted by leading hyperscalers and businesses, the company engineers, builds, and operates high-capacity, AI-ready campuses with speed, scale, and reliability.****Key Responsibilities***** Perform electrical switching, isolation, and testing in accordance with licensing requirements and safety standards.* Conduct round checks at all incoming substations (CLS) Campus wide.* Lead all MV generator routine test run as per Preventive Maintenance plan.* Support and assist with critical troubleshooting work and fault diagnostic on all electrical equipment Campus wide.* Lead and support emergency response during incidents. Support and accompany DC Ops/ contractors to enter MV Power Module.* Work closely with engineers and advise with MOP & SOP development for electrical system.* Ensure their Chargeman certification is valid and registered with Energy Commission under DayOne.****Candidate Requirements***** At least a valid B0-11kV Chargeman certificate.* 3+ years hands-on experience in in electrical systems.* Strong understanding of UPS, switchgear, grounding systems, generators, and other electrical infrastructure* Ability to supervise and guide technicians.* Good understanding of workplace safety and LOTO practices.
