Job summary

DayOne Data Centers is seeking an experienced electrical professional to manage switching, isolation, and testing across campus. You will execute MV generator tests, assist in troubleshooting, and participate in emergency response for incidents, while ensuring LOTO safety practices and Chargeman certification validity.

The role requires supervision of technicians, a 12‑hour shift readiness, and collaboration with engineers on SOPs and maintenance plans across DayOne facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid B0-11kV Chargeman certificate or equivalent.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of UPS, switchgear, grounding, generators and related infra.
• Ability to supervise and guide technicians.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and LOTO practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical switching, isolation, and testing in accordance with licensing requirements and safety standards.
• Conduct round checks at all incoming substations Campus wide.
• Lead all MV generator routine tests as per Preventive Maintenance plan.
• Support and assist with critical troubleshooting work and fault diagnostics on electrical equipment Campus wide.
• Lead and support emergency response during incidents and coordinate with DC Ops/contractors to enter MV Power Module.
• Work closely with engineers and advise on MOP & SOP development for electrical systems.
• Ensure Chargeman certification is valid and registered with Energy Commission under DayOne.

Candidate Requirements

• Willing to work on a 12 hour shift.
