Job summary

Pembinaan Bintang Baru Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support monitoring of schedules and site progress in Kuching, Sarawak. You will supervise architectural and structural works, review drawings, and coordinate with subcontractors and consultants.

The role requires 2–5 years of site experience in civil/high-rise construction, proficient interpretation of drawings, and strong documentation discipline.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of site experience; high-rise construction will be an added advantage.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with site documentation such as RFI, site memo, progress reports, and claims.
• Willing to Work in Northbank Sarawak

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in monitoring project schedule and site progress
• Supervise Architectural and C&S works including structural, finishing, and coordination works
• Check drawings and issue RFI to consultants for any discrepancies
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth site operations
• Monitor concrete works, piling, and material deliveries including concrete lorry scheduling
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality compliance with specifications and QLASSIC requirements
• Attend weekly and coordination meetings with site team and subcontractors
• Prepare and manage site documentation such as RFI, site memos, progress reports, claims, and submissions
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Contract Departments to ensure approved materials and control wastage
• Liaise with M&E team to resolve interface and site issues
• Monitor defect rectification and manage back charges to subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO 9001 requirements
