Job summary

REN Wellness Retreat (by ERMS Berhad - a subsidiary of IJM Land) is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support Traditional & Complementary Medicine practitioners and enhance patient experience at our Subang Jaya centre.

You'll translate during consultations, assist in treatment setup, manage basic admin and coordinating appointments, while ensuring comfort and clear communication with foreign and local clients. Fresh graduates welcome; diploma or bachelor's in healthcare fields preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, TCM, Physiotherapy or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Prior healthcare, wellness or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of TCM therapies and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Translate during patient consultations for foreign TCM practitioners.

Your Role

The Healthcare Assistant plays a key role in supporting Traditional & Complementary Medicine (TCM) Practitioners and ensuring smooth communication between practitioners and patients. This role involves assisting in treatment procedures, facilitating translation during consultations, managing basic administrative tasks, and enhancing patient experience within the centre.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist foreign TCM practitioners by translating during patient consultations.
• Guide patients through treatment processes and provide clear instructions.
• Prepare herbal prescriptions as instructed by practitioners.
• Support in setting up therapy equipment and ensuring treatment rooms are ready.
• Monitor and ensure patients' comfort during and after treatments.
• Assist with appointment scheduling, billing support, and other front-desk duties when required.
• Act as a liaison between foreign practitioners and local patients.

Job Requirements

• At least Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, TCM, Physiotherapy or any related field.
• Fresh graduates are also welcomed to apply.
• Prior experience in healthcare, medical, wellness or customer service role is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of TCM therapies and patient care.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese would be an advantage to effectively communicate with Mandarin- or Cantonese-speaking clients.
• Open to working on a rotational basis, including Saturday & Sunday, to support business needs.
