Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad seeks an Assistant in Health Information Management System to manage patient records and documentation across clinics, wards, and A&E. The role involves processing inpatient records, ensuring discharge checklist compliance, and releasing records only to authorized personnel.

The candidate should be detail‑oriented, familiar with HIMS operations, and possess SPM or equivalent qualifications. IT literacy and experience with hospital information systems are preferred.

• Familiarity with HIMS/medical records procedures.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in handling records.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and provide patient medical records notes upon request via phone call or system for clinics, wards, A&E, audits, or other authorized purposes.
• Process and receive medical record notes from wards and clinics, ensuring movements are accurately documented and tracked.
• Receive, verify, and process inpatient medical record documents to ensure completeness and compliance with discharge checklist.
• Issue and release medical records notes only to authorized personnel and maintain tracking logs for all movements.
• File, arrange, scan, index and maintain returned medical record notes accurately.
• Identify duplicate medical records and ensure merging is completed according to hospital policies and data integrity standards.
