Job summary

Takaful Malaysia seeks a senior leader to steer its development and engineering agenda in Kuala Lumpur. You will shape the technology strategy, oversee large-scale software initiatives, and drive excellence across projects and teams.

Responsibilities include implementing robust IT security, aligning with regulatory requirements, and fostering innovation while managing vendor relationships and department budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in software development with 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record managing large, complex software projects.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Talent management including hiring, coaching and performance reviews.
• Certifications in CISSP, CGEIT, PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master, COBIT, ITIL are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive software development and engineering strategy.
• Oversee development projects and engineering teams.
• Plan and manage department budget and resources.
• Develop and implement IT security strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Promote innovation and adoption of best practices.

• Monitor project performance and coach teams.
