You will define technology strategy and lead the engineering organisation to deliver scalable, secure digital platforms and high-quality products aligned with commercial goals.

You will guide architecture, engineering standards and technology choices, while driving talent acquisition, growth and succession planning across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering or technology.
• Experience leading large engineering organisations.
• Experience building and operating large-scale, customer-facing digital products.
• Experience scaling or transforming engineering organisations in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in consumer technology, e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech or similar high-scale digital businesses.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with business and product objectives.
• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organisation, including engineering leaders and technical teams.
• Oversee the development and operation of scalable, secure and highly reliable digital platforms.
• Provide strategic direction on architecture, technology choices, engineering standards and technical debt.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data and Commercial leaders to deliver high-quality products and experiences.
• Improve engineering velocity, delivery predictability, productivity and operational excellence.
• Establish practices around reliability, security, observability and incident management.
• Drive engineering talent acquisition, development, retention and succession planning.
