Job summary

Cypark Resources Berhad seeks a Senior Business Development leader to proactively originate, develop and convert renewable energy opportunities into a sustainable project pipeline. You will identify new markets, establish partnerships and drive opportunities from early leads to commercial closure.

The role requires a hunter mindset, strong industry networks, and a track record in converting opportunities into revenue within renewable energy, power, utilities or infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics or related discipline.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in business development, project development or commercial roles.
• Strong experience in renewable energy, power, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Hunter mentality with proven ability to originate opportunities and build a sustainable project pipeline.
• Proven track record converting opportunities into secured projects and revenue.
• Strong commercial acumen and end-to-end deal execution capabilities.
• Strong industry network and stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead business origination and pipeline development across the renewable energy sector, including solar, BESS, waste-to-energy and other energy solutions.
• Develop new leads through market intelligence, networks, partnerships and client engagement.
• Drive opportunities from identification through proposal, negotiation and closure with cross-functional teams.
• Identify market trends, regulatory developments and growth areas to create new opportunities for the Company.
• Establish strategic partnerships and collaborations to expand the renewable energy portfolio.
• Provide regular management reporting on pipeline, opportunities, and risks.
