Job summary

Maybank is seeking an experienced Head of Section to lead the offshore application support team and act as the primary liaison between Singapore business users, technology teams, and external vendors. This leadership role ensures stability, availability, and continuous improvement of the front-to-back trading application landscape.

The role oversees production support across mission-critical applications, coordinating incident resolution, problem management, and vendor engagement while driving

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience supporting and managing mission-critical applications in financial services.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing application support teams.
• Proven track record in high-availability production support and incident management.
• Experience managing offshore support teams across locations.
• Strong stakeholder management with business users, vendors, and tech teams.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change/release governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore application support team to deliver production services.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for engineers.
• Establish support procedures, escalation paths, and service standards.
• Manage 24x5.5 coverage, rosters, and resource planning.
• Coordinate incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and service improvements.
• Engage with vendors and ensure SLAs are met and optimization pursued.
