Job summary

Michael Page, Bayan Lepas-based, seeks a Senior Global IT Director to lead the multinational manufacturer's IT strategy, oversee enterprise applications, and drive digital transformation across the global network.

The role requires 10+ years of IT leadership in manufacturing and experience with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems; you will manage budgets, vendors, and global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Eng, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years IT experience with global or regional leadership.
• Strong manufacturing/industrial experience (manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, automotive).
• Proven track record defining and executing enterprise IT strategies.
• Experience managing infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• IT governance, risk, compliance, and audit experience; vendor management.
• ITIL or related technology leadership certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise applications including ERP, analytics, CRM, HR systems, content management, and integration platforms.
• Define and execute the global IT strategy and long-term technology roadmap.
• Drive technology investments to support growth and digital transformation.
• Serve as primary technology advisor to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead IT governance, enterprise architecture, and strategic planning.
• Ensure availability, resilience, security, and performance of global IT infrastructure and services.
• Oversee cloud platforms, networks, workplace technologies, cybersecurity controls, and data centres.
• Drive continuous improvement across IT operations and service delivery.
• Lead infrastructure modernisation and technology lifecycle management.
• Ensure production support systems enable operational performance.
• Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and technology investments; maximise business value.
• Comply with internal policies, audits, and industry best practices.
• Build and lead geographically dispersed teams with innovation and accountability.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Global Director Should Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including leadership of regional or global IT functions.
• Strong experience within manufacturing, industrial, semiconductor, electronics, automotive, or similar environments.
• Proven track record defining and executing enterprise-wide IT strategies.
• Extensive experience managing infrastructure, cloud environments, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale IT transformation and digitalisation programmes.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers, technology vendors, and complex partner ecosystems.
• Strong financial acumen with budget ownership and technology investment management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage executive leadership and business teams.
• Proven people leadership experience managing high-performing regional or global teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience in M&A, carve-outs, divestments, or large-scale transformation initiatives will be an added advantage.
• ITIL or relevant technology leadership certifications are highly desirable.
