Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd is seeking a Head of Information Technology to lead the technology function and drive digital transformation across the business. This role will develop and execute the overall IT strategy, ensure reliability and security of enterprise systems, and optimize processes through technology.

The successful candidate will work with senior leadership to align technology investments with business objectives, ensuring scalability, governance, cybersecurity, and continuous innovation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in senior IT leadership.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-wide IT operations and technology strategy.
• Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Information Technology to lead the organization's technology function and drive digital transformation initiatives across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the overall IT strategy, ensuring the reliability and security of enterprise systems, optimizing business processes through technology, and leading a high-performing IT team to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

This role will work closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders to align technology investments with business objectives while ensuring scalability, governance, cybersecurity, and continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's IT strategy and technology roadmap.
• Align technology initiatives with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team to achieve business and operational goals.
• Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

Infrastructure & Operations

• Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud platforms, data centers, and end-user computing environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and scalability of all technology systems.
• Manage IT service delivery, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Drive continuous improvement across IT operations and support functions.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

• Develop and maintain cybersecurity strategies, policies, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements and applicable regulations.
• Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response activities.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.

Digital Transformation & Business Solutions

• Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
• Drive adoption of emerging technologies, automation, analytics, AI, cloud services, and Industry 4.0 solutions where applicable.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology enablement.
• Oversee enterprise systems including ERP, MES, CRM, HRIS, and other business applications.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement activities, and technology investments.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure value and service quality.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a senior IT leadership role.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-wide IT operations and technology strategy.
• Experience managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and service delivery functions.
• Strong background in digital transformation and enterprise systems implementation.
• Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or multinational environment experience would be advantageous.
