Job summary

Commerceplus is seeking a hands-on finance lead to own billing, collections, payments, and the books across multiple entities. You will report to the Managing Director and work with external accountants.

You’ll drive month-end close, manage inter-entity funding, and support audits while leveraging Xero and AI-enabled workflows to streamline processes. This role is Malaysia-based with strong cross-border exposure.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance; part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or MICPA an advantage.
• 4-6 years in finance operations, ideally in SME or multi-entity services.
• Hands-on Xero experience; assessed on live reconciliation.
• Multi-currency and cross-border transactions between Malaysia and Singapore.
• High-volume, low-value payout experience is a strong advantage.
• Malaysian statutory familiarity: SST, EPF/SOCSO/EIS, Form C, LHDN e-Invoice.
• Organised and discreet handling confidential financial information.
• Proficiency with MS 365, Notion; interest in AI-assisted workflows.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an advantage for supplier work.

Responsibilities

• Billing and receivables: issue client invoices across entities per calendar and validate inputs.
• Payments and payables: run vendor payouts with full documentation for approval.
• Accounting and close: maintain Xero, month-end close by day 15, and intercompany coding.
• Reporting and control: produce monthly management pack and cash forecasts; flag variances.
• Audit & compliance: support Form C, SST, LHDN e-Invoice obligations.
