Job summary

Streamline Media Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Executive to support day-to-day financial operations across Malaysia, the United States and Japan. You will maintain audit-ready records, manage multi-currency transactions, and collaborate with the Director of Finance and external partners.

The role emphasizes ownership, process automation, and the use of Streamframe, Xero and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Xero — day-to-day accounts operations, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills — formulas, pivot tables, multi-sheet reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and AP/AR processes.
• Comfortable working with multi-currency transactions (MYR, USD, JPY).
• Experience navigating Malaysian statutory obligations — EPF/KWSP, SOCSO, SST, income tax.
• Detail-oriented and organized — able to manage multiple entities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Comfortable in a VUCA environment where priorities can shift fast.
• Open to and actively learning AI and automation tools — this is not optional.

Responsibilities

• Handle AP/AR across Malaysia, US, and Japan, including vendor payment scheduling and invoicing.
• Maintain complete, audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and manage fixed asset registers.
• Manage multi-currency transactions and FX treatment.
• Support tax and statutory submissions across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with external bookkeepers, auditors, and tax agents.
• Operate Streamframe and improve project financial visibility for the team.
