Job summary

Stream Empire Holdings Sdn Bhd, Asia’s leading retail and e-commerce network in activewear and lifestyle, seeks a Bakery Lead to supervise daily production, ensure quality, and drive efficiency in its Malaysian operations.

You will plan schedules, manage a bakery team, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards while contributing to product development and cost control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Baker, Senior Baker, or Head Baker.
• Experience in commercial or retail bakery, hotel, or F&B environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of bread, pastry, cake, dough preparation, proofing, and baking techniques.
• Able to lead and manage a bakery team independently.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality control.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the bakery team in daily production operations.
• Plan and manage daily production schedules according to sales requirements.
• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery products according to company recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency in product quality, taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.
• Monitor the complete baking process including dough preparation, mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, cooling, and finishing.
• Train, guide, and monitor Bakers, Senior Bakers, and Bakery Assistants.
• Ensure proper portioning, recipe compliance, and efficient ingredient usage.
• Monitor stock levels of baking ingredients and coordinate replenishment when required.
• Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
• Ensure all bakery equipment, tools, and workstations are properly maintained and cleaned.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Identify production issues and take corrective action promptly.
• Support new product development, seasonal products, and product improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate operational issues to management.
• Ensure the bakery operates efficiently while minimizing wastage and production costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
